Pet Achievements Missing On Beta

It looks as though the collection achievements such as the Littlest Pet Shop are missing on the beta. I can't seem to find them in any section of the achievement window. What this means, I haven't the slightest clue.

One possibility is that it's being relocated into the new Pet Battles tab instead.

I don't think they'll remove the achievements entirely, as it would not only be a real shame but new collectors will lose their chance at the pet rewards from those achievements. But at the same time, with the Pet Journal and account wide collections being introduced in MoP, a collecting achievement is kind of pointless, isn't it?

Then again, if both the Pet Journal and individual spellbook companion collections are maintained, you could technically still track the number of pets for each individual character (since the Pet Journal and the spellbook are two separate things).

It's still early on in the beta, so we'll have to wait and see what Blizzard decides to do.

PS: And no, this is not an April Fool's joke heh.

  1. I noticed earlier today that the celestial dragon is indeed in the pet journal, along with nuts.
So i can only assume that the achievments will remain and perhaps become remade by increasing the number of pets you have to collect for each reward, or they'll add new achi's...

Nevertheless, the pet-rewards are still gonna be in game, so the pet collecting achi's are probably gonna be moved to the Pet Battles-tab in the achievments window, but as of now, it's empty with the FoS interface -.-

We'll just wait and see! :D

    1. @Getzo: Yea, I doubt that they'll remove the newer pet collecting achievements (100, 125 and 150) or remove the pets rewarded for the achievements completely, but I could see Blizzard turning the older (and more antiquated ones) into Feats of Strength.

Not sure how they would work out the pet rewards for those, though, as it would get a little awkward for collectors who already earned say the Little Fawn, to earn it again because it was added to a new Pet Battling achievement.

Hopefully they'll work it all out! :)
